Job summary

Ellie Mental Health Woodbridge, VA is seeking experienced outpatient therapists to join our growing team. We offer in-person, hybrid, and virtual positions to support diverse communities, with a focus on accessible mental health care.

As a licensed clinician, you will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, document sessions, and collaborate with a friendly, supportive team. We value creativity, compassion, and flexible scheduling to balance client care with life outside work.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral science field is required.
• Full VA clinical license (LPC/LCSW/LMFT) or active supervision toward licensure is required; ability to practice independently.
• Experience completing psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and clinical notes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to submit documentation promptly.
• Experience working with diverse populations; comfort with boundaries in clinical work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Complete and document clinical notes and services in a timely manner.
• Provide compassionate psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and young adults as appropriate.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support client care and outcomes.
• Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards in all client interactions.

Some Necessary Requirements

• Have a master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university
• Have a full VA clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or be a master's-level supervisee or resident working toward licensure, with the ability to practice independently
• Experienced in completing psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and clinical case notes
• Be effective in written and verbal communication skills
• Be able to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents promptly
• Have experience and comfort in working with diverse populations
• Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients
• Experience with children, adolescents, and young adults
• Proficient in the use of standard office technology (computers, e-mail, etc.) and Electronic Health Record systems (experience with Valant a plus)
• Ability to pass a background check
