JOB SUMMARY:

Location: Akasarben

The Mental Health Therapist provides specialized knowledge and skills to adequately perform psychiatric and mental health evaluations and assessments. This role provides guidance for the work distribution of non-licensed mental health staff that are assigned under his/her team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide behavioral health services, such as talk therapy to individuals representing a broad range of mental health symptoms and associated functional impairment concerns.
• Perform evaluations and assessments to evaluate patients' mental health and develop individual treatment plans based on patients' individual needs.
• Practice in collaboration with staff to manage patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Knowledge of mental health care management, principles and implications of standards for quality of care, quality measurement, monitoring, and related features of today's healthcare environment.
• Skill in communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
• Skill in planning, organizing, and time management.
• Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Skill in managing multiple priorities and problem solving.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Degree in Social Work strongly preferred but would also consider a master's degree from an accredited educational in Counseling or other related Behavioral Health Field. Acceptable licenses include LCSW, LISW, LIMHP, PhD, PsyD.
