Family of Hands in Virginia is seeking a full-time Mental Health Therapist to join our team. You will deliver trauma and attachment–informed, evidenced-based treatment and responsive care to clients seeking assessments, services, and professional development training.

The role involves intake assessments, individual/couple/family/child therapy, and developing personalized treatment plans while ensuring documentation in the EHR system and adherence to licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed or Licensed Eligible to meet residency requirements (Counseling or Social Work).
• Completed or in progress Master's degree in counseling, social work, human services, or a similar field.
• Maintain personal professional liability insurance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake assessments.
• Provide mental health therapy for individuals, couples, families, and children.
• Create individualized treatment plans for each client.
• Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual treatments.
• Record all documentation in EHR system, timely and accurately for billing and policy compliance.
• Adhere to all practice and licensing standards.

$48,000 - $70,000 annually The salary range listed represents the good-faith compensation range for this position. Starting salary will be determined based on several factors, including licensure status, clinical experience, education, specialized training, demonstrated competencies, and the overall responsibilities of the position.
