Job summary

Balance Point Wellness is a Maryland-based mental health and wellness practice offering in-person, hybrid, and telehealth therapy and psychiatry services. We seek clinicians to manage caseloads and deliver individualized therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health field.
• Current Maryland licensure authorizing mental health treatment.
• Background check and pre-employment screenings are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload and provide ongoing individual mental health therapy.
• Provide clinically appropriate therapy services to children and adolescents.
• Complete psychosocial assessments.
• Develop and update person-centered treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Complete timely contact notes and clinical documentation for all sessions.
• Document all services through the EHR.
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and other treatment team members.
• Provide services in accordance with professional standards.

Balance Point Wellness, LLC is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare (ACHC) and is a community-based mental health and wellness practice dedicated to providing high-quality therapy and psychiatry services to individuals and families throughout Maryland. We proudly serve clients through in-person, hybrid, and telehealth services. In-person and hybrid opportunities are available at our offices in Hunt Valley, Overlea/Nottingham, Bel Air, and Salisbury, Maryland. We provide telehealth services throughout Maryland, as well as school-based mental health services in Baltimore County and Harford County Public Schools. Our team is committed to providing accessible, compassionate, and client-centered mental health care while supporting individuals and families throughout their mental health journey.

Therapist Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload and provide ongoing individual mental health therapy.
• Provide clinically appropriate therapy services to children and adolescents.
• Complete psychosocial assessments.
• Develop and update person-centered treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Complete timely contact notes and clinical documentation for all sessions.
• Document all services through our cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and other members of the treatment team as appropriate.
• Provide services in accordance with professional standards

Requirements

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health field.
• Current active Maryland licensure that authorizes the provision of mental health treatment.
• Previous psychotherapy experience in a community-based setting is preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check and any other required pre-employment screenings is required.
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, interpersonal, clinical assessment, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation.
