Job summary

Prairie St. John's in Fargo, ND, seeks a Mental Health Technician to join our new 132-bed behavioral health facility. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, full benefits, and a repeating two-week schedule.

There is overtime and opportunities to cover various shifts. The PM shift runs 3:00pm–11:30pm. As a Mental Health Technician, you will work directly with patients to provide support and hope, laying a foundation for growth into nursing, therapy, social work, and substance use disorders

Qualifications

• Experience in health care or group settings with patients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work evening PM shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and provide support and comfort to patients and families.
• Monitor patient safety and report changes to nursing staff.

Mental Health Technicians work directly with patients to provide support and hope. The Mental Health Technician position serves as an awesome foundation for people looking to grow their career in the area of nursing, therapy, social work, and substance use disorders.

Shift Times:

PM Shift: 3:0pm-11:30pm

Prairie offers inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, and intensive outpatient services. Qualifications

Mental Health Technician Job Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, adolescents or adults in a health care setting or group setting such as day care, school, group homes, or residential facilities.
