Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven, FL, is hiring a Mental Health Technician to join our compassionate team at Winter Haven Hospital. The role provides direct psychiatric patient care under RN supervision, with a focus on safety, observation, and therapeutic engagement.

The shift is 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, full-time, on-site, with every-other weekend and no on-call. Qualifications include BLS; CNA or Patient Care Technician preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required; CNA or Patient Care Technician preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree in related field.
• 6 months of experience in psychology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under RN supervision.
• Monitor and observe patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Promote communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
