Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare in Flowood, MS, is seeking a dynamic Mental Health Technician for a full-time weekend role (Fri–Mon) with evening or overnight shifts. Orientation is required the first week (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM).

The facility provides psychiatric care for adults and youth in a nurturing environment, with a 133-bed capacity and affiliation to UHS. The role involves patient care, crisis intervention, and collaboration with nurses and therapists to ensure a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in mental health field preferred with two years of experience.
• Ability to assist with daily living activities and manage crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assists patients with activities of daily living (ADL) as needed.
• Actively supervise patients in daily activities and document behaviors.
• Follow the patient program schedule and maintain accurate progress notes.
• Record vital signs and report changes per policy and clinical standards.

We are currently hiring for a full-time weekend position working Friday through Monday, with opportunities available on the following shifts:

• Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Enjoy an additional shift differential of up to $6.00 per hour!

MUST be available to attend the Full Hospital and Departmental orientation: 1 WEEK: MONDAY - FRIDAY (8 AM - 5 PM)

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and talented Mental Health Technicians!

Position Summary:

Provides care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment. Assists patients with activities of daily living; attends to patient behavioral problems and aids in crisis intervention, as needed. Works closely with all other clinical staff (Activity therapists, Social Workers, Nurses) To conduct various groups within the patient program. Plays an integral part of assuring that the patient program schedule is conducted as planned by the staff team

Job Duties Include:

• Supervises and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL) (hygiene, meals, laundry) as needed.
• Actively supervise patients in all daily activities while documenting patients’ behaviors, conditions & progress in a manner prescribed by policy and clinical standards.
• Ensure programing is occurring according to schedule. Take and record vital signs, both manually and with equipment.
• Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient and maintain awareness of patient's individualized plan of care including goals and intervention

Qualifications

Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health related field and two years of experience in the mental health field (psychiatric/inpatient or outpatient setting).
