Job summary

Universal Health Services, a leading healthcare provider, seeks a Mental Health Technician in Raleigh, North Carolina. You will assist in direct patient care across all ages with medical and behavioral issues, as directed by the treatment team, and help with unit programming to integrate therapy into daily living.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent; preparation in healthcare or mental health is preferred, plus at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree or coursework in health care, mental health, recreation therapy, education, or human growth & development preferred.
• One year of experience as nurse’s aide, mental health aide, psych aide, or equivalent in rehab, psychiatric, or similar setting.
• Prefer CNA, RBT, and BHT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct care and management of patients across all ages with medical and behavioral issues as directed by the treatment team.
• Assist with unit programming to facilitate therapy carryover, activities, and daily living within patient abilities.
