Job summary

Wyoming Behavioral Institute is seeking a Mental Health Technician for full-time day shifts. You will provide direct and indirect patient care, engage patients in treatment groups, and monitor safety on the unit under supervision.

The role supports therapy goals and maintains a safe environment with accurate documentation. Qualifications include being 21+, a high school graduate, CNA preferred, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and a High School graduate or have an equivalent to a High School diploma.
• We prefer at least two years of college in a related field and/or be a Certified Nurses Assistant and have at least two years of experience in healthcare as a technician.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care on any hospital unit under RN or lead MHI supervision.
• Engages with patients to ensure active participation in treatment groups and therapy.
• Monitors patient safety, documents rounds and interactions, and maintains a safe, clean environment.
