Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Permian Basin in Midland, TX, seeks a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to support nursing staff and maintain a therapeutic milieu for adults and seniors facing anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges.

The MHT performs patient care activities, communicates observations to the nurse, documents findings, and helps ensure safety, infection control and compliance with Joint Commission standards in our inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Adherence to Joint Commission, federal and state requirements.
• Ability to de-escalate and apply therapeutic interventions.
• Accurate inventory and documentation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with patient care activities under supervision.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and nutritional monitoring.
