Job description

Responsibilities

Mental Health Technician opportunity: Full‑time and part‑time, 40 hours per week, every other weekend required.

Shift: 11pm – 7am.

Must attend a two‑week paid hospital orientation from 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday‑Friday.

Mental Health Technicians provide routine non‑acute physical care for patients and facilitate educational groups based on the Master Treatment Plan.

Job Duties Include
  • Facilitates group activities tailored to the appropriate topic, age, and level of understanding as approved by the Program Coordinator.
  • Ensures patients are consistently monitored in the proper location for the duration of activities.
  • Provides appropriate crisis intervention by anticipating and responding quickly to escalating behaviors, utilizing de‑escalation techniques to diffuse the situation and correctly prioritizing safety concerns.
