Job summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center in Holyoke, MA seeks a Mental Health Technician for the Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health unit on a part-time night shift (11:00pm–7:30am), including every other weekend and holiday rotation. You will provide direct care and support to patients, families, and work within a multidisciplinary team.

You will help maintain a safe therapeutic milieu, perform safety checks, monitor patients, assist with ADLs, and de-escalate crises while documenting care in the EMR

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or human services field preferred.
• Previous PCT/PCA, CNA or Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient observation and rounds.
• Assist staff with patient care following treatment plans.
• Observe and monitor patient progress and report observations to staff.
• Develop a therapeutic relationship with patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed.
• Provide supervision of patients' activities.
• Ensure safety monitoring of patients on the unit.
• Process admissions belongings and document in the EMR.

Mental Health Technician Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Part Time

24hr Nights Holyoke MA Part time 24 hours Nights 11:00pm - 7:30am
including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
As a Mental Health Technician for MiraVista in Holyoke, Massachusetts, you’ll bring your experience and knowledge where your voice matters.
A Mental Health Counselor is an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment team.

You will provide direct care and support not only to our patients but also their families and make decisions that impact the lives of your peers, your patients, and your community.
In exchange, we will care for you as much as you care for our patients.
As a Mental Health Counselor, you will maintain a safe therapeutic milieu on inpatient behavioral health units.
You will also conduct safety checks, monitor patients, assist with ADL’s, de-escalate acute situations, and provide supportive interactions with patients.

Responsibilities

Mental Health Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Facilitate patient groups.
• Work collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Required to float to all units as needed.

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or human services field.
• Preferred. Previous PCT/PCA, CNA Or Medical Assistant Experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Previous experience in psychiatric or substance inpatient, restraint reduction de-escalation, and crisis intervention is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range - $22.00 - $27.08 Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience.
