Job summary

WE LEVEL UP in Tamarac, FL is seeking a Mental Health Technician to provide compassionate care to individuals with mental health challenges. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, monitor progress, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

This role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, 1–2 years in mental health settings, and the ability to work graveyard shift. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain detailed records in the EHR system.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans under supervision of licensed professionals.
• Monitor and document patient behavior, vital signs, and progress for reporting to the clinical team.
• Provide direct care and support to patients, including daily activities, therapeutic exercises, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and recreational activities to enhance social skills and emotional well-being.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in line with health and safety regulations and facility policies.

Position Responsibilities:

QualificationsRequired Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a mental health setting, such as a psychiatric hospital, residential treatment center, or similar environment.
• Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Familiarity with mental health disorders and treatment plans.
• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of cultural competency in mental health care.
