This role is responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients while assisting with the provision of basic patient care and recovery needs.**Responsibilities:*** You will support the unit through excellent patient customer service and clinic management assistance* You will collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes* You will perform a variety of functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data* Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds* You will assist with maintaining a safe and hazard free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, reporting unsafe conditions and applying appropriate emotional and physical support* You will provide and document interventions in a variety of modalities individually matched to the needs of each patient# **Requirements*** Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any other human services field preferred and/or in lieu of education, will take 1 year of experience.* Must obtain a Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA prior to start date* If assigned to **Navos Hospital**, BLS certification is required prior to starting. Other campuses require CPR certification prior to starting on the floor and can be obtained onsite, if not already in hand.* If assigned to **Navos Hospital**, First Aid training is required prior to starting.* If assigned to **Navos Hospital**, Food Handler's Card is required within first two weeks of hire date* Washington State **Counselor Agency Affiliated Registered (ACCR**) credential must be applied for within thirty (30) days of hire. Employees can work while in pending status. Grace periods will be adjusted in accordance with DOH requirements.* Due to current processing delays at the Department of Health (approximately four [4] months), the credential is not required to be obtained within ninety (90) days, provided that the application was submitted in a timely and complete manner. The credential must be obtained upon issuance by the Department of Health.
