Job summary

North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to assist patients with daily living activities and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The role supports the psychiatry team in an acute care setting; valid CNA, BLS, and a basic knowledge of medical terminology are required, with priority given to candidates who hold a Behavioral Violence Prevention certificate.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate within six (6) months of hire date.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
