The Mental Health Counselor role at Trinity Health's Loyola Medicine unit in Chicago's western suburbs focuses on behavioral intervention for adults with psychiatric conditions. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, following the treatment plan and documenting sessions.

Formación

• Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience.
• Preferred: Minimum two years inpatient psych experience.
• Minimum education: two years of college with psychology coursework.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.

Responsabilidades

• The Mental Health Counselor works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide behavioral intervention based on assessed needs for patients with related psychiatric conditions.
• Is knowledgeable about the assigned patient's treatment goals and intervenes as identified in the treatment plan.
• Facilitates or leads group psychoeducational sessions in the milieu and documents the sessions.
• Assists in patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Participates in the care needs of all inpatients as requested or directed by Unit RN.

Educación

Two years college with psychology coursework

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

Psychology or Social Work degree
