Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) to support safety, recovery, and well-being of patients in a structured treatment setting.

You will work directly with individuals facing mental health and behavioral health challenges, providing therapeutic support and assisting with daily patient care during 12-hour shifts on a full-time schedule in Arlington, TX. The role requires compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Observe, monitor, and document patient behaviors throughout shift.
• Support patients in developing coping mechanisms and life skills.
• Assist patients with daily activities and provide escorts as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques; assist with physical intervention if necessary (training provided).
• Encourage patient engagement in treatment activities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient care goals.
