Palm Point Behavioral Health in Titusville, Florida seeks a PRN Mental Health Technician to support adults and adolescents in a clinical setting. The MHT provides direct patient care, participates in treatment teams, and assists with activities, supervision, and safety.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and preferred related experience; psychiatric technician experience is a plus. This PRN role offers a flexible schedule within a community hospital environment serving Brevard

• Prefer one (1) year related experience; Psychiatric Technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates group activities tailored to the appropriate topic, age, and level of understanding as approved by the Program Coordinator.
• Ensures patients are consistently monitored in the proper location for the duration of activities.
• Provides appropriate crisis intervention as necessary by anticipating and responding quickly to escalating behaviors, utilizing de-escalation techniques to diffuse the situation, correctly prioritizing safety concerns.

We are currently looking for a qualified PRN Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our team of dedicated Behavioral Health professionals working with Adults and Adolescents dealing with psychiatric issues. The Mental Health Tech (MHT) provides direct care support and functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to adolescent patients. The Mental Health Tech works under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
