Job summary

Turning Point Care Center, LLC in Moultrie, GA is seeking a PRN Mental Health Tech to join our men's partial program team. You will provide direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, help maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, and support treatment planning with accurate documentation.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a patient-related field, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to participate in CPI interventions and

• One year of experience in a patient-related field is required.
• One year of experience with psychiatric, trauma, or substance abuse patients is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; further behavioral health training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a multidiscipline team approach.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Maintain accurate and complete data and records.
• Intervene with suicidal gestures and appropriate behaviors using CPI techniques.
• Therapeutically communicate with patients and develop boundaries and social skills.
• Redirect behaviors and respond to impulsivity in age-appropriate ways.
• Assess and communicate patient status to the team.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Qualifies for shift differentials for 3:00pm–7:00am.

Mental Health Technician / Patient Tech

Turning Point Care Center has an opening for PRN Mental Health Tech (MHT) for our men's partial programs. MHTs play a vital role in providing excellent care for our patients and are a member of the interdisciplinary team who assists in total client care through implementation of appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Provide direct patient care within a multidiscipline team approach.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Maintain accurate and complete data and records.
• Intervenes with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique.
• Therapeutically communicate with patients. Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills.
• Directs/redirects behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences. Responds appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria.
• Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
• This position qualifies for shift differentials for hours worked between 3:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience in a patient related field, required.
• One (1) year experience with psychiatric, trauma, or substance abuse patients, preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Further training/education in behavioral health and substance abuse treatment is preferred.
• Ability to communicate therapeutically and age appropriately.
• Current Georgia Driver's License with:
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Not having multiple violations for driving without insurance
  • No more than 2 at fault accidents on record in the past 3 years
  • No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 7 years
  • No convictions for serious infractions such as reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or fleeing a police officer
  • No convictions for vehicular homicide manslaughter
