Job summary

Brynn Marr Hospital in Jacksonville, NC, seeks a Mental Health Technician to provide direct care to pediatric and adult patients with psychiatric disorders, ensuring safety on the unit. The role requires night shifts from 7pm to 7am, including every other weekend.

The MHT will work with a team to support patients’ needs, addressing behavioral health concerns and contributing to evidence-based treatment programs. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred.
• Experience: Previous healthcare experience required.
• Physical requirements: Medium Work – Exerting 20 – 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 – 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

The Mental Health Technician (MHT) provides direct care to children, adolescents and adult patients with psychiatric disorders, to ensure the safety and well-being of the patients. MHTs have the primary responsibility for ensuring the patient’s safety on the unit.
