Care New England Health System seeks a part-time mental health worker to support nursing staff and assist patients with activities of daily living. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, safety, and therapeutic unit care, with opportunities for CNA-credential holders to receive differential pay.

Responsibilities include assisting nurses, maintaining a safe environment, and participating in self-development for the role. The team collaborates across Butler Hospital and affiliated care sites.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences preferred or comparable behavioral health experience.
• Experience working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
• Candidate must have excellent written skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• C.N.A. Preferred: 2% Pay Differential for active CNA license.

Responsabilidades

• Consistently adheres to Butler Hospital service standards.
• Acts as patient advocate through role modeling of performance standards and by meeting patients’ needs.
• Assists registered nurses in direct patient care, especially activities of daily living.
• Ensures a safe and therapeutic unit environment through observation and interaction.
• Commits to self-development related to the mental health worker role.
