CHI Mercy Health in Roseburg, OR is seeking a Mental Health Associate to provide direct patient care under RN supervision and collaborate with the team to meet patient and unit needs in a safe, communicative environment.

Daily duties include observation rounds, documenting condition changes, assisting with ADLs, and maintaining unit safety while promoting healing and a calming atmosphere for patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Oregon Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• BLS for Health Care Providers within 30 days of hire.
• First Aid within 30 days of hire.
• Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Conducts observation rounds, documents patient symptoms and changes, and reports findings to the RN.
• Assists patients with ADLs, ensures unit safety, and maintains a clean environment.
• Responds calmly to emergent situations, de-escalates challenges, and assists with communication and social skills.
• Utilizes Crisis Prevention and Intervention techniques, provides trauma-informed care, and may serve as a Sitter or Monitor.
• Manages patient meals and transport.
