Job summary

Vanderbilt Health seeks a patient care role to perform duties necessary to implement individual treatment and provide the psychological, emotional and physical support required by each patient. The position supports maintaining the therapeutic environment of the clinical program under regular guidance and supervision.

You will contribute to group education, documentation, and collaborative decision making while adhering to safety and care standards in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Implements therapeutic programming for assigned population.
• Provides direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Carries out procedures under supervision of Registered Nurse including special precautions, Handle with Care skills, seclusion and restraint correctly and safely.
• Evaluates coping needs and education needs of the families.
• Documents all pertinent clinical information on a daily basis, including all unusual incidents.
• Contributes to the organization by actively participating in shared decision making.
• Delivers quality therapeutic group education through the independent use of provided materials.
