Job summary

Psynergy Programs, Inc. in Greenfield, CA is seeking a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) to join our residential and clinical treatment team.

You will support clients with chronic mental illness, deliver individual and group rehabilitation services, and collaborate with nurses, therapists, and psychiatrists to prevent hospitalizations. The role requires extensive mental health experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of mental health experience in treatment settings.
• Experience with chronic mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar, PTSD).
• Relevant certifications and degrees increase compensation.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support recovery goals.
• Provide individual and group rehabilitation services to residents.
• Facilitate groups including Equine, DBT, CBT, DRA, Grief and Loss.
• Provide case management and linkage to external resources.
• Offer crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Help clients maintain a regular daily schedule of healthy activities.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and care planning.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) with experience working in a treatment environment supporting individuals diagnosed with a chronic mental illness (ex: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD). As a Rehab Specialist, you will be part of an amazing team of Mental Health Service Providers, Nurses, Therapists and Psychiatrists providing the highest level of outpatient treatment to this underserved population.

To get started you will need:

• At least 8 years of Mental Health experience—combination of education and experience is okay.

• Great attitude - required.
• Experience working in Mental Health or in residential care - preferred.

Your Responsibilities

Your role as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assist clients retain, practice, and learn new skills that will help prevent unnecessary hospitalizations and stabilize housing. The goal is to see clients through their individual recovery process and to celebrate graduations from treatment back to home counties, families, and friends. As a MHRS you will be:

• Working with a caseload of approximately 25 clients who live in one residential setting.
• Providing individual and group rehabilitation services
• Facilitating groups including Equine, DBT, CBT, DRA, Grief, and Loss
• Providing case management
• Linking clients to outside community resources including ID, benefits, and outpatient appointments
• Providing crisis intervention services
• Helping clients develop healthy connections and activities.
• Assisting clients maintain a regular daily schedule of healthy activities.
• Providing therapeutic support and redirection through verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques
• Providing behavioral Interventions like properly setting boundaries and providing
• redirection and support
• Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings
• Helping clients safely access the community.
