Job summary

Trinity Services, Inc. seeks a Mental Health Professional for Mobile Crisis Response Team in Joliet, IL. You will provide on-site crisis intervention, assessments, and safety planning to individuals in mental health crises under supervision of the Program Director.

The role emphasizes recovery, linkage to community resources, and person-centered support with coordination across teams. Requires Bachelor’s in a behavioral field and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field required.
• At least one year of experience in mental health, crisis services, or a related field preferred.
• Lived experience or experience facilitating peer or support groups is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance (including uninsured motorist coverage) required.
• Must successfully pass all pre-employment background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate, on-site support and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized crisis response and safety plans.
• Assist individuals in identifying strengths, recovery goals, and barriers to wellness.
• Facilitate linkage to community-based services and coordinate follow-up care.
• Collaborate with internal team members and external providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Identify high-risk factors and seek consultation from a QMHP when clinically appropriate.
• Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain timely and accurate service documentation in accordance with agency standards.

Job Description

Position Overview:

The Mental Health Professional (MHP) is a vital member of the Crisis Care System team, providing timely, compassionate support to individuals experiencing mental health crises. Operating under the supervision of the Program Director, the MHP delivers mobile crisis intervention, screening, intake, case management, and community resource linkage services. This role promotes recovery, stability, and connection to ongoing care through individualized assessments, collaborative safety planning, and person-centered support.

Hours: 24/7 staffing and weekend rotation required.

1 st - 7am-3pm

2 nd - 3-11pm

3 rd - 11pm-7am

Location: Joliet , IL

Reports to: Program Director

Network: Network 9

Essential Functions:
