We are seeking a licensed mental health professional to assess, diagnose and treat individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, delivering individual or group therapy and participating

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, or related field.
  • Fully licensed in the state to practice as a licensed psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC or similar.
  • CA: LP, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC licensed in California.
  • Minimum of 2 years freedom from substance use problems.
  • Current CPR card or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • NPI number as an individual provider.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of co-occurring mental health needs.
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide mental health consultation and educate patients, customers, and staff.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention to ensure patient safety and wellbeing.

Job description

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of co-occurring mental health needs of patients. Treatment of patients will involve assessment and therapy, including group therapy, with patients who present with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder diagnoses. Additional duties involve participation as a member of a multidisciplinary team, crisis intervention, supervision of unlicensed mental health staff, and ongoing care planning.

  • Provide mental health assessment, ensuring proper identification of mental health and substance use concerns, as well as barriers to recovery and stability
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy utilizing evidence-based intervention strategies and best practices
  • Provide mental health consultation and information in order to educate patients, customers, and staff members regarding the dynamics of mental health issues in recovery. Seek and receive consultation from others in order to provide comprehensive care
  • Facilitate crisis intervention to ensure safety and wellbeing of patients
Qualifications

Required
