Job description

Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner

RHSC is seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Hovander House, part of RHSC, an organization dedicated to improving health and well-being through partnership with our members, patients, and community. Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all program residents during shifts.
2. Provide evidence-based practices services to residents.
3. Maintain comprehensive records of resident activities and interventions through daily logs and incident reports.
4. Provide crisis interventions for behavioral, medical, or psychiatric issues.
5. Monitor, administer, and set up medications according to individual treatment plans.
6. Assist residents with daily living skills and perform other duties as required.

Work Schedule:

0.1 FTE (8 hours per 2-week pay period)

Location:

Hovander House Crisis Residence, St. Paul, MN

Required Qualifications:

• Option 1: High school diploma or equivalent plus 4,000 hours or 2 years full-time experience delivering services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities.
• Option 2: At least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields, plus one of the following:
  • 2,000 hours of service delivery experience in relevant fields.
  • Completion of a practicum or internship involving direct interaction with adults in behavioral sciences or related fields.
  • Currently completing a practicum or internship as part of a formal social work, psychology, or counseling program.
• Master's or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related field.
