Job summary

Anew Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed therapist to provide outpatient behavioral health and substance use disorder counseling. The role involves assessments, treatment planning, and delivering psychotherapy across office, community, and telehealth settings.

You will conduct individual, group, and family therapies, maintain progress notes, and collaborate with families and care teams to support recovery. A master’s degree is required; Ohio licensure and related credentials are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed to practice in the state of Ohio.
  • NPI number and Ohio Medicaid ID are preferred and required to start work.
  • A master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s may be accepted with additional licensure and experience.
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting, particularly in behavioral health and SUD counseling, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and perform diagnostic interviews for behavioral health and SUD clients.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family-oriented therapy sessions to address client needs and promote recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services rendered, client progress, and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, case managers, and referral sources to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to clients’ unique circumstances and goals.
  • Participate in regular care conferences and case reviews to enhance treatment effectiveness and client engagement.
  • Attend supervision as required.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations.

Education

Master's degree in Counseling/Social Work

Summary

The Therapist at Anew Behavioral Health provides therapeutic services to clients of all ages facing behavioral health issues and substance use disorders (SUD). This role involves the application of specialized clinical knowledge and advanced counseling skills to conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver effective psychotherapy in various settings, including office, community, and telehealth. The Therapist collaborates with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support clients in their recovery and ensure holistic care.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate individual, group, and family-oriented therapy sessions to address client needs and promote recovery.

  • Collaborate effectively with clients, their families, case managers, and referral sources to ensure comprehensive care.

  • Attend supervision as required.
  • Ensure compliance with agency, federal, and state confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations.

This position does not supervise any staff.

Supervision Received

The therapist will report to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

  • Primarily requires sitting while conducting therapy sessions, with occasional movement within the office or community setting.
