A New Day Family Counseling is expanding into the Seneca and surrounding Illinois Valley area, including Marseilles, Ottawa, and Morris. We are looking for a caring mental health therapist dedicated to providing the best possible therapeutic service to our patients.

You'll be in charge of doing diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans with goals and objectives, offering crisis intervention when needed, and following up with patients to ensure they're getting the best care possible.

The ideal applicant will have 1-3 years of clinical experience treating mental health patients and a current LMHC license (licensed mental health counselor).

Compensation: $45 - $75 an hour depending on experience and licensure

Qualifications

• Must have at least a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology
• CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications preferred
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability, as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, are needed
• Licensure in the state you reside in as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or the equivalent is required
• 1-3 years in a clinical setting working with mental health patients is required
• Independent licensure or close to sitting for the exam - LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PSYD, etc
