Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Mental Health Counselor in Pasco, WA to join our team. The role involves interviewing and assessing patients and families, coordinating services, and contributing to discharge planning while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
• Washington State Agency Affiliated Registration or Agency Affiliated Registration-Certified.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience

Responsibilities

• Interview and assess patients and/or family, caregivers, and/or legal representatives.
• Determine, prioritize, provide and/or arrange for needed internal and external services/interventions.
• Participate in case reviews to evaluate case management and progress.
• Consult with healthcare team members to promote, monitor, and evaluate compliance with patient's treatment plan.
• Assist with discharge planning and processes.
• Identify resources, including transportation, housing, healthcare, and social/spiritual services, and provide referrals as part of the discharge plan.
• Supervises and/or trains new staff, students, and interns. Performs Medicaid screenings as indicated.
• Provides individualized brief therapy as appropriate to the patient, in collaboration with referral source.

How you\'ll contribute

AMental Health Counselor who excels in this role:

What we\'re looking for

The Mental Health Counselor must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.The requirements listed below are below representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Education: Bachelor\'s degree from university program in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
• Certifications: Washington State Agency Affiliated Registration or Agency Affiliated Registration-Certified.
• Minimum Work Experience Two (2) recent years clinical experience preferred
