Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a healthcare professional to provide direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders and to ensure their safety and well-being while supporting a therapeutic milieu.

The role involves care for psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients, advocacy, family counseling, and strict adherence to special-status guidelines. AVADE training is required within 30 days of hire; on-site with 40-hour weeks and evening shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • BLS Certification preferred.
  • Data Conversion experience may be preferred.
  • Various Issuers preferred.
  • AVADE training required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
  • Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
  • Parent/Family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions
  • Adheres to guidelines for patients on special status (i.e. suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL precautions).
  • Provides accurate information on shift-to-shift report and remains on the unit while incoming shift is in report.
  • Thinks and acts quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
  • Displays professional boundaries in relationships with patients at all times.
  • Complete and file all documentation as required in a timely manner.

  • Successful completion of AVADE training is required within 30 days of hire.
