Role Description

The counselor will provide individual, couples, and family counseling, conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering ongoing therapy sessions using appropriate therapeutic modalities. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, coordinating case management activities, and collaborating with other providers or community resources as needed. The counselor will regularly monitor client progress, adjust interventions, and support crisis intervention when necessary, while upholding ethical standards and client confidentiality. Participation in team meetings, supervision or consultation, and continued professional development is expected to ensure high-quality, client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mental Health and Psychology, with the ability to apply clinical theories and evidence-based practices in counseling.
• Experience with Treatment Planning and Case Management, including assessing needs, setting goals, and coordinating services and referrals.
• Skills in Relationship Counseling, with the capacity to work effectively with couples and families on communication, conflict resolution, and relational dynamics.
• Relevant licensure or eligibility (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent) in the state of Alabama.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Ability to maintain detailed, timely clinical records and comply with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, with a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach.
• Comfort with hybrid work, including reliable technology for telehealth and adherence to privacy and confidentiality requirements.
