Job summary

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a part-time clinician to provide client-centered services in client homes at our Pontoon Beach housing site. The role focuses on community support, group activities, conflict resolution, symptom management, and more, with emphasis on empathy and strong communication. The position offers Friday 3:00–11:30 p.m.

and/or Saturday 3:00–11:30 p.m. shifts at Pontoon Beach, IL, with starting pay between $19.00 and $24.31 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and be CRSS or CPRS in good standing with the State of Illinois.
• Or have a Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field.
• Or have a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable (where applicable).
• Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-centered services assessment, therapy, community support, and medication management.
• Use evidence-based practices for skill development and facilitate individual, roommate, family, and group therapy.
• Connect clients with additional clinical resources.
• Assume a leadership role with minimal guidance and oversight.
• Promote the recovery model trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.

This role will provide client-centered and client-driven services in client homes (group setting) that will focus on community support in apartment, conflict resolution, symptom management, group services/outings, and more. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping individuals in need.

Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of behavioral and primary health care services. Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to almost 800 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health, and primary care treatment to patients in Illinois and Missouri. We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A.

This rewarding opportunity provides direct care on Friday from 300 to 1130 p.m., and/or Saturdays from 300 to 1130 p.m. at our housing site in Pontoon Beach, IL.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $19.00 - $24.31 per hour.

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and be a Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) in good standing with the State of Illinois;
• OR have a Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field;
• OR have a Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field and be a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC);
• OR have a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance and be insurable (when applicable).
• Requires basiccomputer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobatand an electronic medical record (EMR).
• Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
