Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to deliver advanced behavioral health services in a correctional facility in Toms River, NJ. Qualifications

• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.

JOB SUMMARY

The Mental Health Clinician provides advanced clinical support in delivering behavioral health services within a correctional facility. This role is responsible for conducting assessments, providing individual and group therapy, developing treatment plans, and supporting crisis intervention efforts.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of operational and clinical
• Conducts comprehensive mental health assessments and formulates treatment plans.
• Provides individual and group therapy to inmates with a range of mental health needs.
• Supports crisis intervention and suicide prevention efforts.
• Collaborates with psychiatrists, nurses, custody staff, and other clinicians to ensure coordinated care.
• Participates in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Assists in developing and delivering staff training and education on mental health topics.
• Ensures adherence to ethical and professional standards of practice.
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a correctional or institutional setting.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.
• Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care approaches.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Proficient in clinical documentation and use of electronic health records (EHR).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

• Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice)
