Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies seeks a Mental Health Clinical Director for a full‑time role at the Bay Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Panama City, FL. The position leads clinical and administrative supervision within a behavioral health delivery system, ensuring NCCHC/ACA standards are met.

The candidate must hold a Master’s in mental health and be licensed inFlorida as LCSW/LMHC/LMFT or a psychologist.

Qualifications

• Master’s level mental health clinician required with ability to assess and make treatment decisions.
• Licensed as an LCSW/LMHC/LMFT or licensed psychologist in Florida.
• Experience supervising Behavioral Health staff and coordinating clinical services in a correctional/detention setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Behavioral Health Services staff.
• Coordinate development and revision of policies for intake, assessment, and provision of clinical services for inmates.
• Supervise treatment program planning and implementation contracted to VitalCore.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be a Master’s Level Mental Health Clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions and provide Mental Health treatment. Must be licensed as an LCSW,LMHC,LMFT, or licensed psychologist in the state of Florida.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

• Acts as point of contact for administrative staff for discussion of treatment programs and problem resolution as needed.
• Coordinates development and revision of policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, and provision of required clinical services for inmates.
• Supervises the planning, development and implementation of treatment programs contracted to VitalCore.
• Provides clinical and/or administrative supervision to staff of Behavioral Health Services.
• Monitors efforts of Behavioral Health Services to ensure clinical services are being provided in a timely, professional manner. Provides and assigns clinical on‑call duties.
• Ensures treatment programs contracted are integrated and appropriately staffed.
• Provides administrative support to psychiatric staff.
• Coordinates the facility’s Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Program.
