Job summary

Mercy in Joplin, MO is seeking a Behavioral Health Support Specialist to assist MH Case Managers and Therapists in delivering services to patients and families, enhancing psychosocial functioning.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field (preferred) and experience in Behavioral Health; or progress toward a degree. Strong communication and computer skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling or other human-service-related field preferred.
• Minimum one year Behavioral Health experience preferred.
• Or working towards a degree in a human-service-related field.

Responsibilities

Position Details

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling or other human-service-related field (preferred).

• Experience: 2 years experience in the Behavioral Health field preferred.


• Preferred Other: Co-worker must be able to communicate orally, in writing and demonstrate proficient computer skills. Co-worker must be able to listen and to understand and explain complex situations.
