Austin Public School District seeks a Mental Health Behavior Aide at Banfield Elementary School to support students with behavioral and mental health needs. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, supervising students, and coordinating with teachers and administrators to maintain a safe learning environment.
Candidates should have an AA/AS degree or 60 credits, pass paraprofessional assessment, and be able to support students with special needs.
Candidate must have an AA Degree, AS Degree or 60 semester credits of post secondary education (equivalent of 2 years) or a passing score on the paraprofessional assessment test. Passing pre-employment physical. Ability & interest to provide assistance to children with special needs.
Hourly starting rate of pay is $19.90 per hour. Other benefits according to the Para Educator Working Agreement are located within the Human Resource section of the Austin Public Schools website at www.austin.k12.mn.us.
