Job summary

Merrimack Health in Methuen, MA is seeking a Mental Health Associate for the Emergency Services unit. You will assist nursing staff in maintaining a safe, therapeutic milieu and support patient care for those not requiring complex nursing skills.

Evenings shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm; a High School diploma and experience in mental health or medical field preferred. BLS and COAP within 30 days are required; background check clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• Experience or training in the mental health or medical field preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• COAP within 30 days of onboarding.
• Background check clearance required, weapon prohibition.

The Mental Health Associate (MHA) is responsible for performing duties necessary to maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu. Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, the MHA will assist the nurse with care of patients whose needs do not require complex nursing skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.


• Experience: Experience or training in the mental health or medical field preferred.
