Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a Mental Health Associate in the Behavioral Health Unit. This role performs direct and indirect patient care activities for behavioral health patients, including technical duties in support of nursing care and under supervision of an RN.

You will lead and co-facilitate educational and activity groups, and assist with milieu management to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• QMHP certification is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care for behavioral health patients under RN supervision.
