General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) in Poway, CA, seeks an Applications Developer for the Finance Applications group to build and support Mendix-based GA-ASI Finance solutions, driving analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.

You will work with the Solutions Architect, Product Owner, Project Manager, and IT Services to ensure scalable, reliable finance tools and adherence to security and data standards.

Qualificações

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline and nine or more years of progressive professional applications developer experience.
• Proven experience in web application development, particularly with Mendix.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

• Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments independently or in a team environment with the ability to work extended hours as required.

Responsabilidades

• Establish standards for system functionality, quality, and design constraints to meet operational requirements.
• Create technical documentation, including user stories, data flow diagrams, API documentation, code review documentation, and user accounts as needed.
• Design and implement new features and functionality using Mendix as defined by the product owner.
• Support training activities for users on the operation and maintenance of Mendix-based applications.
• Perform code reviews and system analyses to ensure Mendix applications' functionality, stability, scalability, and security.
• Deliver all assigned tasks on time and to high-quality standards.
• With general direction and limited review, liaise between business system users to ensure IT design, data, reports, systems meet needs.
• Verify and test Sailpoint Integration, scan all custom code with SonarQube.
• Create Application Specification document and update help desk scripts.
• Verify external services and accounts are active and configurations consistent across environments.
• Plan for future application requirements to meet needs based on new tech developments.
• Import any required application data.
• May provide training, guidance, and direction to less experienced staff.
• Observe all laws and safety practices.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Applications Developer to work within our Finance Applications group in Poway, CA. The Applications Developer plays a crucial role in developing and supporting GA-ASI Finance solutions using Mendix as the primary app development platform. With limited direction, this role is responsible for driving and leading activities such as planning, solution analysis and design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of GA-ASI Finance applications. The Applications Developer collaborates closely with the Solutions Architect, Product Owner, Project Manager, and Information Technology Services to ensure efficient support, development, delivery, and scalability of solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish standards for system functionality, quality, and design constraints to meet operational requirements.
• Create technical documentation, including user stories, data flow diagrams, API documentation, code review documentation, and user accounts as needed.
• Design and implement new features and functionality using Mendix as defined by the product owner.
• Support training activities for users on the operation and maintenance of Mendix-based applications.
• Perform code reviews and system analyses to ensure Mendix applications' functionality, stability, scalability, and security.
• Deliver all assigned tasks on time and to high-quality standards.
• With general direction and limited review, this position acts as a liaison between one or more business system users such as finance & administration, accounting, financial controls, program finance and the information systems technical staff to ensure that information technology design, data, reports, systems and processes meet the needs of the end users.
• Verify and test Sailpoint Integration, Scan all custom code, such as java actions, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with SonarQube.
• Create Application Specification document and update all help desk service desk scripts.
• Verify that all external services and/or accounts are active and ready for use and that configuration changes are identical in each environment as well as verify that all constants are set appropriately in each environment.
• Plans for future application requirements to ensure needs are met based on new developments in computer technology; recommends changes in applications development, maintenance, and system standards.
• Import any required application data.
• May provide training, guidance, and direction to less experienced staff.
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
• Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
• Additional Functions and Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Type: Full-Time Salary

Salary range: 109,500 - 187,875
