Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Board Certified or Residency Trained Internist to join Memphis Veterinary Specialists in Memphis, Tennessee. The role involves delivering exceptional veterinary care, building strong client relationships, and working with a seasoned team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.

The ideal candidate will have a DVM/VMD, AVMA residency, and a current license, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA approved residency program.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and educate on care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and prescribing practices.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager and Regional Manager on priorities.
