Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a leader for the Santa Clara area to drive practical applications of advanced materials engineering and manage the unit's product line through development and alpha/beta releases.

You will work with customers to solve high-value process challenges, guide alpha programs, and coordinate strategic planning to align R&D with corporate goals. Travel and relocation support may be available for the right candidate.

• Interacts with key customers to resolve unusually complex process engineering issues for the unit's product line to address high-value problems (HVP).
• Leads alpha engineering program regarding all process technology related issues for the unit's product line.
• Responsible for alpha and beta product release for the business unit's product line.
• Participates in strategic planning to integrate R&D with the unit and Product Business Group's overall plan.
• Identifies, selects and collaborates with vendors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Leads practical applications of scientific theory and unusually complex processes in the development and ongoing technical management of the unit's product line

Leads research, development and implementation in new products and extensions or enhancements to existing product line

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
