Job summary

Hillcrest Country Estates Rehab Cottages in Papillion, NE is seeking a creative Recreation Leader to plan and lead engaging recreational programs for guests in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

You will develop activities, provide one-on-one and group programming, document participation, and assist with assessments and admissions while collaborating with nursing, therapy, and other teams to support each guest’s rehabilitation experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of experience providing recreational programming for aging adults or in a similar setting preferred.
• Recreation therapy certification preferred.
• Music background and ability to play an instrument preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead recreational programs based on guest interests and needs.
• Develop group and individual activities.
• Provide one-on-one recreation and sensory enrichment programs.
• Document guest participation and assessments as required.
• Assist with daily/ monthly recreation calendars and admissions documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, culinary, and other teams.
