Job summary

Danbury Senior Living is seeking an experienced LPN to lead the life enrichment program for residents with dementia. You will guide memory care activities, assess resident needs, and collaborate with nursing to ensure smooth transitions during admissions and ongoing care.

You will supervise program content, train staff, and engage with families to support residents’ social functioning while maintaining regulatory documentation and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be an LPN.
• Experience with Alzheimer's and other dementia individuals.
• Two years of programming experience: planning of care, scheduling staff, coordinating meetings with POAs and families, and working with residents in an assisted living environment.
• Background in nursing/providing one-on-one care for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate a therapeutic program meeting spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of residents.
• Assess resident characteristics and, with other departments, plan and organize program content.
• Monitor daily neighborhood functioning to ensure continuity and appropriate changes in the program.
• Develop, implement, and conduct in-service training for care staff regarding memory care programs.
• Establish and maintain teamwork through effective communications and meetings; inform staff and integrate with other services.
• Participate in support groups as directed by Life Enrichment Director.
• Market the program via community involvement and local Alzheimer's associations.
• Maintain documentation compliant with state regulations and community policy.
