Silverado Hermann Park in Houston, Texas is hiring a Full Time Medication Technician to ensure safe and timely medication administration for residents in a memory care setting. You will join a compassionate team at a top memory care innovator, with paid training and strong internal mobility.

Responsibilities include medication administration, inventory, and clear communication with residents, families and clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Medication Aide Certificate required for the state.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school.
• At least one year of experience as a Medication Technician.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
• Experience in memory care or with Alzheimer's/dementia preferred.
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English.
• Comfortable around animals and pets.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with routine administration of medications
• Order, receive, and take inventory of medications
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medication cart
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and the clinical team
