Qualifications

• Experience with dementia care preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead groups and engage residents with varying cognitive abilities.
• Willingness to assist with hands-on caregiving tasks.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and support residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities: develop and facilitate daily programs for cognitive, social, and emotional engagement.
• Adapt activities: modify activities to meet varying levels of cognitive ability and physical function.
• Provide caregiving support: assist with resident care including transferring, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Support mealtimes: help serve meals and assist residents during dining.
• Monitor resident well-being: observe changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition and report to nursing staff.
• Maintain safe environments: ensure activity spaces and care areas are clean, organized, and safe.
