Job summary

Coventry Meadows Assisted Living in Indiana is seeking a Memory Care Director to lead the Memory Care Center's programs and standards, ensuring a person-centered approach for residents with dementia.

The role partners with interdisciplinary teams, families and regulatory agencies to drive excellence in care, staff training, and quality outcomes. A background in social services and geriatric advocacy is preferred, with a passion for senior care.

Qualifications

  • Three years human services experience.
  • Two years dementia or related diagnoses experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or human services preferred.
  • Strong passion for geriatric advocacy and senior care excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement memory care programs and center philosophy.

Memory Care Director Opportunity at Coventry Meadows Assisted Living

The Memory Care Director manages and implements the programs, philosophies and standards for the Memory Care Center.

Skills Needed:
  • Clinical and Human Services knowledge: Understanding social work principles, psychosocial assessments and interventions. Strong understanding of Person-Centered Approach to resident care. Experience and knowledge of dementia related behaviors, strategies and best practices.
  • Training: Train, observe and redirect staff through initial education and one-on-one education of the Alzheimer disease process.
  • Interpersonal Communication: Empathetic engagement with residents and families. Clear, effective communication with interdisciplinary teams. Conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Supportive Presence: Creating a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
  • Collaboration: Works with and promotes collaboration among departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations including government regulatory agencies.
  • Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.
Requirements:
  • Three years human services experience.
  • Two years of experience working with persons with dementia or dementia related diagnoses.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or in a human services field preferred.
  • Strong passion for geriatric advocacy and commitment to senior care excellence.
  • Previous social services experience preferred.
