Silverado Thousand Oaks is hiring Culinary Aides to support memory care residents with warm, nourishing meals and spotless dining areas. This role combines food service skills with compassion and teamwork in a senior living environment.

Schedule: Full Time, Friday through Monday, 10:30am to 7:00pm, with competitive pay between $20 and $22 per hour plus benefits. Ideal candidates hold a Food Handler Certificate and are reliable, punctual, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Certificate from the County Department of Environmental Health
• Knowledge of food safety regulations
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia
• Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English
• Comfortable working around animals and pets
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and kitchen sanitation
• Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of food service areas
• Deliver resident meal carts and stock refrigerators
• Set and clean dining areas to ensure a pleasant mealtime experience
