Job summary

The Kensington Sierra Madre is seeking a Private Duty Assistant to provide direct, one-on-one care in the Memory Care neighborhood, assisting residents with daily living activities, meals, grooming, and mobility support.

You will promote privacy and independence, document changes, participate in training, and report any concerns. A DOJ/FBI background check and current First Aid card are required. Flexible hours including weekends and evenings are part of the role.

• Excellent verbal skills and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-based environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, families.
• Ability to calculate figures related to percentages and area.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents one-on-one in Memory Care, including daily living activities.
• Assist residents with transfers, bathing, grooming and dining support.
• Maintain privacy, dignity, and promote independence during activities and events.
• Document assistance provided and communicate changes to the team.
• Attend training courses and participate in professional development.
