Job summary

Allure in Zion, IL is seeking an Activity Aide (Full-time with weekend shifts) to support planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, and therapeutic programs for residents in supportive living and memory care. This role emphasizes creating a warm, engaging environment and documenting residents' responses.

You will collaborate with staff, follow care plans, assist with supplies, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering high‑quality resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Long-Term Care or Activities Department is preferred but not required.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, patience, compassion, enthusiasm, and ability to engage residents at varying levels.
• Self‑motivated and dependable team player who can work independently.
• Professional, reliable, and committed to high‑quality resident experiences.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs and quality assurance initiatives.
• Observe resident participation, mood, behavior, and engagement, and report progress.
• Maintain accurate activity notes reflecting services provided and residents' responses.
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the community.
• Build positive working relationships with all departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare activity rooms and common areas and assist with cleanup after events.
• Follow resident care plans during daily activities and engagement.
• Assist with purchases of supplies and activity materials.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and HIPAA compliance.
• Supervise and engage residents to support well-being.
• Visit residents for one-on-one engagement (conversation, crafts, games).
• Recommend equipment and supply needs to supervisors.
• Comfortable leading and collaborating with volunteers.
• Willing to fill in for receptionist role as needed.
